Why your full birth date matters
January 1 is not the zodiac boundary used here.
Source-linked guide · Updated 28 September 2026This site assigns the animal using the lunar year containing the birthday. Under that convention, a new animal year begins at Chinese New Year. A January birthday, or a February birthday before the new year, belongs to the previous lunar year.
For example, February 9, 2024 is still in the Rabbit year in this tool. February 10, 2024 is the first day of the Dragon year. Entering only “2024” would hide that distinction.
Use the complete Gregorian date and check the convention printed beside the result. Saving the zodiac card does not copy your birth date into the image. The card is a cultural label, not an assessment of your personality or a prediction of your future.
