The Chinese zodiac pairs years with a twelve-animal sequence. Here, the animal changes on the first day of the lunar year. A January or early-February birthday may therefore belong to the preceding animal year. Some traditions use Start of Spring (Li Chun) instead, so always compare the convention as well as the result. The animal names belong to cultural symbolism: this tool does not infer your character, compatibility, future, or health. You can save a card without including your date of birth.
